Registration for placement and art grants is now closed! You want to get involved into co-creating this space? You are very much encouraged to take on a volunteering shift during the night of the event!

Whether your are experienced or just getting started, we shall never say it enough: taBURNak! is the perfect venue for you to bring your wackiest creative ideas to life and get them to meet an enthusiastic and engaged audience.

We are a not-for-profit event : selling tickets enable us to rent a space for artistic expression in the heart of Montreal, as well as to make financial grants available to support unrealized projects. This money can be used to cover the costs for (among others): materials for fabrication, set-up, transportation, tickets for artists, etc.

We’re primarily chasing for innovative and/or experimental projects that respect the 10 Principles of Burning Man and that would ideally involve an interactive aspect.

Have you always been dreaming of been able to display your artwork? To perform on a stage as a clown, a burlesque dancer, a shibarist or a magicien? To get your brass band to play? Do you wish to bring your theme camp along with you and offer some goofy interactivity sessions to bewilder people, or simply get them to dance their booties off all night long to your new DJ set? Do you need an excuse to finally get yourself to try those new techniques you have only been fantasizing about? Well, look no further. Let your imagination go wild!

One you have purchased your ticket, you gain access to the voluteering platform which is linked directly in the confirmation e-mail. This platform will allow you to register to one (or more!) shifts and be integrated to a team : Bar, Greeters, Gate, Rangers, LNT… Remember that we are all volunteers : without the contribution of each and every one of us, this event would never be possible. A big thank you for your involvement that allows this community to survive and flourish.

Consent is a fundamental principle of any community event. We are especially attentive to the need to respect consent. We will not tolerate any abusive behaviour and take complaints very seriously.
